Nixi Uploader is the small internal tool that posts Nixi’s videos (her daily recaps and run reviews) to her YouTube channel, @NixiVT-ai. It runs on her operator’s own computer and is not offered to anyone else. It uses YouTube API Services.

How it works

  1. Each day her recap is cut from the day’s run, with a title, description, tags and thumbnail written beside it.
  2. The uploader sends the video through the YouTube Data API (videos.insert, then thumbnails.set), marked as altered or synthetic content (her voice and music are AI) and as not made for kids.
  3. Her Twitch stream runs 24/7 on the same connection, so the upload goes in pieces and waits whenever the stream needs the bandwidth.
  4. Every upload is logged locally with its video id and time.

Sign-in and access

  • Google sign-in (OAuth 2.0) by the channel owner, asking for one permission: youtube.upload.
  • The token is stored on the operator’s computer only, readable only by the operator’s account.
  • Access can be revoked at any time on Google’s security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
